Universal TAU-II System

A COMPLETE FAMILY OF REDIRECTIVE, NON-GATING CRASH CUSHIONS TO SHIELD ALMOST ANY HAZARD.

The Redirective, Non-Gating, Universal TAU-II Crash Cushion Family consists of a full line of Impact Attenuators designed to meet the requirements of NCHRP Report 350, TL-2 & TL-3. This family of crash cushions are available in capacities for both low and high speed applications (30-60 MPH) . The TAU-II Family of Crash Cushions can shield hazards with widths up to 96” wide.

TAU-II Non-Gating Redirective Systems are ideally suited for roadway hazards such as the ends of rigid concrete barriers, steel barrier, bridge piers, signs, etc.

By using standard guardrail parts and superior engineering, this System provides life saving performance as a NCHRP 350 Redirective, Non-Gating TL-3 Impact Attenuator. Available for both 27” and 31” tall guardrail applications.

TAU-II-R Reusable Family of Crash Cushions

A COMPLETE FAMILY OF REUSABLE CRASH CUSHIONS TO SHIELD ALMOST ANY HAZARD

The Redirective, Non-Gating, Reusable Universal TAU-II-R Crash Cushion is designed to meet NCHRP Report 350 as a reusable attenuator to protect motorists at speeds up to 60 mph MPH and from hazards that range from 27” – 96” wide.

The Universal TAU-II-R System is part of the Universal TAU-II Family so maximum interchangeability between all Systems helps keep inventory costs low. In addition, existing Universal TAU-II Systems can be upgraded to Reusable TAU-II-R Systems by replacing existing cartridges and nose with Universal TAU-II-R Modules and Reusable Nose.

The Redirective, Non-Gating X-TENuator Crash Cushion features excellent impact performance. Utilizing superior engineering design, the  X-TENuator Crash Cushion provides the life saving performance as a Redirective Non-Gating crash cushion. The X-TENuator System has been designed to be installed permanently and is also approved to be used on asphalt in work zones where Redirective Non-Gating performance is required. Standard transition options and narrow footprint make the X-TENuator System ideal for shielding roadside hazards.

RAPTOR System

COMPACT SOLUTION TO SHIELD POLES & TREES

The RAPTOR System is designed to reduce the severity of errant vehicle impacts with a utility pole or tree. The RAPTOR System uses weather resistant energy absorbing material surrounded by a UV stabilized polyethylene shell to shield poles and trees located on the roadside. It can be installed at many sites that do not have the space needed for a traditional impact attenuator and does not require a foundation. The RAPTOR 300 & 600 Systems meet NCHRP 350 TL-1 criteria as non-redirective impact attenuators.
